Homey is a free, non-commercial service. This page explains what we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. We don't sell personal information.
When you sign in with Google, Homey asks only for the basic profile scopes (openid, email, and profile). From Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use your name and email to create your account, sign you in, fill in your profile, and send you emails about Homey, such as waitlist updates. The first name you confirm when you set up your profile is how the AI says who it is calling for. We don't use your profile picture. We don't ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files, or any other Google data.
We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below that we need to run Homey. Homey's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Homey places AI voice calls to landlords and property managers on your behalf. The AI says it is calling for you by first name. It never claims to be human, and if asked whether it is an AI it says yes right away. Calls are transcribed, and we store the transcripts and summaries. We do not save call audio recordings.
We store landlords' contact details (name, phone, email) from listings and calls. Landlords can ask not to be called again. We keep a record of those requests so we can honor them, even after an account is deleted.
We use your information to run searches, make calls, answer your questions, and improve the service. Facts about a listing, from its page or from a call (rent, availability, deposit, parking, and so on), along with the landlord's contact details, may be reused to help other users looking at the same place. Your personal information, your questions, and call transcripts are never shared with other users.
These companies handle data on our behalf to make Homey work:
We keep your data while your account is active, until you delete it. You can delete your account in the app from the Account page, or email support@tryhomey.app and we'll delete it for you. That deletes your Google sign-in details along with your searches, leads, calls, chats, and profile. Listing facts that were shared stay, but are no longer linked to you. An activity log of past calls also stays, unlinked from your account, though entries may still include your first name and details from the calls, such as what the landlord said and their contact details.
Homey is for people 18 and older.
We may update this policy as Homey changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions or requests? Email support@tryhomey.app. See also our Terms of Service.
